Tadpole Q & A:
Who coaches the program?
The Tadpole program is run by the same coaches that instruct our team. All are current or previous HS and/or Club swimmers, lifeguards, or coaches!
What if my child is ALMOST 3?
We can take younger than 3 if the instructor(s) feel the child can follow instructions.
How long are the sessions?
The sessions are 30 minutes. The program is intended as an introduction to water and the basics of swimming.
I’m not sure my 5 year old should join the team, can they do Tadpoles?
If you have a 5 year old that doesn’t swim well, please consider joining the swim team or having a swim team coach evaluate him/her before putting them in the Tadpoles. Come visit the swim team during the 5-6 year old time slot, see what it is like, and talk with our coaches about your child’s ability level. Together, you can determine if your child can try the team, or should work with the Tadpoles.
I have a 4 year old who is a really good swimmer, can they join the swim team?
Unfortunately, they cannot because the minimum league age is 5.
