Head coach Bryan Salinas is from Edinburg, Texas. He attended Edinburg High School where he swam on the Varsity swim team from 2019 to 2023 and was a part of the 200 and 400 yard freestyle relay school records. He competed with the City of Edinburg Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) swim team from 2015-2022. In 2022, he began coaching for the Edinburg TAAF while still competing for them. He moved to San Antonio to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2023. In September 2025 Coach Salinas began coaching for the San Antonio Wave swim club. When he’s not around the pool, he enjoys walking with his dog Apollo and spending time with friends and family.
Kendra is in her first year as an Assistant Coach for the Dolphins. She is currently attending UTSA where she is studying mechanical engineering. Kendra swam at the club level for 11 years and has 3 years of coaching experience with all ages of swimmers. Through swimming and coaching, she has learned the importance of strong technique, building confidence in the water and creating a positive, encouraging environment for all swimmers. She enjoys staying active, being outdoors and working with fellow athletes.
Ilana is returning for her second season as a Junior Assistant Coach. She is a former Dolphins swimmer (starting when she was 6 years old) and has been swimming competitively since she was 8. Swimming has taught Ilana dedication, teamwork and the importance of pushing yourself while still having fun and she's excited to bring her experience to help younger swimmers improve their skills, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.
Shia is in her first year as a Junior Assistant Coach for the Dolphins. She attends Clark High School, where she is a two year member of the varsity swim and water polo teams. In addition she has been swimming competitively for seven years with the Alamo Heights Aquatics Club. Swimming has taught her a lot about discipline, staying motivated and the importance of finding things that make you happy. She is looking forward to seeing our young swimmers grow throughout the season.
